Rubik's Cube

Rubik's cube is starting selling in 1980, then it is the most famous puzzle all over the world.
It is called Rubik's Cube because it was invented by Erno Rubik in Hungary.
This is a more puzzle, but everybody feels attracted to this.
Because if you see this, you want to touch this.
The competition was caused by Rubik's Cube is
"Speed Solving" or "Speed Cubing"

Layer By Layer Method

This is the bloodstream how to solve the Rubik's Cube.
Rubik's Cube 3x3x3 is separated 3rd layer, so we solve it layer br layer.
This system for speed solving is invented by Ms. Jessica in America,
she is really mother of speed solving.

F2L

the First 2 Layer

We call this in the World of Speed Cubing.
And we arrange them in twos at once, and this is real enjoyment of Speed Cubing.
There are 41 patterns in F2L.

OLL

Orienting Last Layer

After making the two layers, then we have to make Upper face.
In other words, adjust the upper face. We don't mind the side. Only upper face.
There are 57 patterns in OLL.
I don't know all.

PLL

Permuting Last Layer

After making the Upper face, then we have to set in good orders.
I mean; permute the side of the Last Layer.

Scramble

I don't mean the Scramble; at the Air Force.
Mixing the solved cube. The Computer can solve in 20 turns, so it's enough to mix 30 turns.

We can look the cube closely in 15 seconds.
In the 15 seconds, we try to look beyond the moves what we should do.

Cross

Making a cross

First, we make a cross.
And we it up side down, then we make F2L-OLL-PLL.
I am impatient when I cannot look beyond the moves of making cross in the Inspection time.

the time to solve

We use this word when we talk about the solving time.
For example, sub-30 means that solved in 30 seconds.
But we use the word -sub- in average time. I'll explain the average next.

Average of 10

the average time of 10 times

We always solve the cube 12 times, and the fastest and the slowest time is deleted,
and the time of average of 10 times is the record of Rubik's Cube.

Edge cube is the parts between corners.
It's much easier to understand when you see the picture.

F2L

Slot is the 2 pieces place when you have to make the F2L.
We call this "Slot".

Well, I use this word as verb. Like this, "Oh, shit, popped!"
And you have to look out when you pop, if you don't or you lose the parts.
